God is Just

Updated: Feb 3, 2021

Happy Selah Sunday!

Let’s jump right in.

Today’s Selah Sunday will come from the book of Habakkuk chapter 1 verse 5.

“Look at the nations and watch - and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”

Question: Have you ever found yourself frustrated by injustice?

The prophet Habakkuk certainly shared those feelings of frustration regarding injustice. Habakkuk took those feelings to God and verse 5 is the answer God gave Habakkuk. It may seem like oppressors, corrupt officials, and those who just have evil in their heart are getting away with the things they do. However, God is going to hold them accountable for their actions.

Question: Have you ever felt hopeless while witnessing so much oppression?

We can easily begin to feel hopeless when everywhere we look we see oppression or are experiencing it. The thing we can always remember in those times is that God is pure and can not tell a lie. He’s promised us justice and that’s what we’ll get.

God’s response is a comforting reminder that as a just God, He has a plan to bring justice. That plan is beyond our ability to comprehend now but if we just watch, God is going to blow our mind.

This ones a little heavier but I pray you find comfort and peace of mind in it.

Happy Sunday!

Peace and Blessings
